Petition: Let’s Transform the Greenhill Underpass
For years, the Greenhill Way underpass next to Morrisons in Harrow Town Centre has suffered from anti-social behaviour, crime, broken lighting, water damage and poor maintenance. It should be a safe, welcoming route for residents, but too often people feel unsafe using it.
Now, local young people are calling for change. They have approached me to share their concerns because they use the underpass every day to travel to school or college, visit St George’s Shopping Centre, or meet friends and family. They want to see this neglected space transformed into somewhere everyone feels safe using at any time of day.
That’s why I’m backing their campaign and launching this petition calling on Harrow Council to:
💡 Repair the broken lighting throughout the underpass.
📹 Install new CCTV cameras to help deter crime and anti-social behaviour.
🔧 Fix water ingress and repair damage caused by years of neglect.
🧹 Clean, maintain and improve the underpass, including restoring the mural, to create a brighter and more welcoming environment.
🤝 Work with local residents and young people to regenerate the area and create a safe, welcoming and family-friendly space for everyone.
Please sign the petition and help us to transform the Greenhill Underpass.
